The Harry Brookes Allen Museum public collection is available online, and we encourage students and researchers to use the online database prior to contacting the museum.

Research enquiries about the collection are welcome. Please include in your enquiry:
- A description of your proposed research.
- A description of the specimens required from the HBA collections.
- A statement of how access to the HBA collection contribute to your research aims.
- The type of data access requested ie. photography, CT scanning, measurements etc.
Access to collection items in storage is possible by prior arrangement during normal business hours.

Volunteering
Volunteer and research project opportunities on the Harry Brookes Allen Museum collections are available for University of Melbourne students.
